The Raising of Lazarus

A new statue is going to be placed in the roundabout of the Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.

Our Lord's miracle has been associated from the very earliest ages of Christianity with Christian burial and is still presented in Gospel of the Burial Mass.  Here, at the Immaculata, the bell which tolls as we process to Our Lady of Peace Cemetery was baptized “Lazarus” in honor of this ancient Christian tradition.

This statue group will be placed in the traffic roundabout in the cemetery and bring to life this episode of Our Lord, serving to nourish the faith and Christian hope of all those who pray at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery for the faithful departed.

                           Installation planned for Fall 2026/Spring 2027
